vivian ~ two

she has reached two . . .

i remember when my little ones turned two . . .

when a two year old wants it, they want it like NOW!

sometimes it might seem like they are a little demanding . . .

they are beginning to exhibit their independent spirit . . . "i do it, mommy!"

routines and choices go hand in hand during this age.

sometimes you wonder why this stage has to be called the terrible twos?

but . . .

there is something about this stage that only a grandma can love.

because a grandma can just swoop them up and

squeeze them,

hold them, 

tickle them,

smother them with kisses,

laugh at their behavior, (when mommy and daddy aren't looking)

and

read lots of stories to them . . .

vivian, you have a wonderful spirit about you! 

i love your little giggle,

i love how you "love" your baby dolls,

and when you run to me to have a book read to you . . .

 you are the apple of my eye

and i love you.

the best part about my job as a photographer is the fact that you can document all those special moments in history. that history which belongs to you! those moments can be captured when you have a brand "new" little one, or when they begin to crawl, walking, or just being a two year old!

i met the post family out at sietsma's apple orchard (liz is one the the sietsma's daughters.) what a great place for pictures. 

most of the blossoms were finished . . .

 but the mosquitos were out in full force,

a little annoying but we did our best trying to run away from them.

tim and dana :: married

tim and dana were married last weekend, may 21 at the historic bowen mills. what a venue for a wedding! 

the day started out a little over cast, and soon ended up raining. we were able to dodge a few rain drops just between the ceremony and then right after the ceremony before it really began to pour big rain drops.
