last year while attend grand rapids community college evan made this unique sculpture in his 3-D class. the professor was so impressed with it that it was picked to go in the student spring exhibit.
then . . . while attending the spring exhibit, his dad really questioned him on whether he thought about making it in a larger scale . . . like large enough to be in artprize. actually, both his dad and i thought that this was a genius idea . . .
tim, being a structural engineer also had connections with those in the steel industry . . . connections

evan's venue for host his "deux vagues embrasser" is the Gerald Ford Federal Building. it will be there that you can vote "up" for his sculpture.
so early this morning evan had a couple of friends help him . . . jordan and jess . . . (a huge shout out to you both!)

unloading the sculpture at the federal building . . .
some of the panels to the sculpture weigh over 100 pounds . . . the sculpture itself weighs in around 1000 pounds . . .
one large puzzle that needs to get put together . . .
artist at work . . . and giving a few instructions . . .
a good team . . .
checking to see how sturdy it is . . . (please do not attempt to do this during artprize . . . you will be asked to keep off.) Thanks.

humble artist . . .
